DYANA DÍAZ

Actriz y artista docente puertorriqueña; obtuvo su B.A. en Artes Escénicas para la Expresión Teatral de la Universidad de Guadalajara en México, en 2012. Allí fue cofundadora del Colectivo Transeúnte grupo teatral dedicado a la creación de espectáculos para público joven. Con ColectivoTranseúnte, se desempeñó como actriz, asistente de dirección, directora de escena, y productora en numerosas puestas en escena, a nivel local e internacional. En 2014 fue cofundadora de INART, Instituto de Artes Escénicas, una de las primeras escuelas privadas de actuación en Guadalajara, México, donde trabajó como docente y coordinadora académica. A principios de 2017, llegó a San Francisco y comenzó a trabajar con SFYT como docente y creadora de teatro. Durante los últimos años, ha dedicado su tiempo a combinar la educación artística y la salud mental, mientras desarrolla teatro en español creado e interpretado por jóvenes del Área de la Bahía.

(ENGLISH) Dyana is a Puerto Rican actress and teaching artist. She earned her B.A. in Performing Arts for the Theatrical
Expression from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, in 2012. There she was co-founder of the Colectivo Transeúnte, a theater group dedicated to the creation of shows for young audiences. With Colectivo Transeúnte, she worked as an actress, assistant director, stage director, and producer in numerous productions, locally and internationally. In 2014 she co-founded INART, Instituto de Artes Escénicas (Institute of Performing Arts), one of the first private acting schools in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she worked as a teacher and academic coordinator. In early 2017, she arrived in San Francisco and began working with SFYT as a theater teacher and creator. For the past several years, she has dedicated her time to combining arts education and mental health, while developing Spanish-language theater created and performed by Bay Area youth.
