Durante varios meses La Lengua Teatro tuvo la dicha de conocer el trabajo de 50 dramaturgues de Puerto Rico y Estados Unidos. Su gran talento y pasión no hicieron nada fácil el trabajo de nuestro panel de selección. Finalmente, luego de ardua deliberación entre sus miembros (Rosalba Rolón, Tere Martínez, Roberto Varea, Paul S. Flores, y Virginia Blanco), presentamos a la cohorte 2024 de Historias de Descolonización: Edición Puerto Rico.

Luego de una residencia liderada por Tere Martínez y un taller de lectura con actores, les residentes entregaron sus libretos terminados el 27 de julio pasado.

For several months La Lengua Teatro had the joy of learning about the work of 50 playwrights from Puerto Rico and the United States. Their great talent and passion did not make the work of our selection panel easy at all. Finally, followed by an arduous deliberation among its members (Rosalba Rolón, Tere Martínez, Roberto Varea, Paul S. Flores, and Virginia Blanco), we present the 2024 cohort of Decolonization Stories: Puerto Rico Edition.

After a residency led by Tere Martínez and a reading workshop with actors, the residents delivered their finished scripts on July 27.
Do you want to know what the resulting pieces are called and what they are about? We will present them at our Decolonization Stories festival on Saturday, October 26. More details coming soon.
